Bumps, Bruises and Goodbyes

As many of you know, Delia is quite the fearless wonder. She will climb anything possible and a few things I thought impossible. This has caused many falls in which I am constanly surprised that no permanent damage has been done (that we know of). Now that I think about it, I guess I should stop growing out her little bangs. They've been nice to have since they cover those lovely green marks adorning her forehead at all times. Well, most recently she has been climbing out of her crib, resulting in a crash on the other side. So, early as it may seem Adelia has now been upgraded to a toddler bed. This switch made me a little nervous since all my other kids hardly ever slept in their toddler bed. They preferred the floor right by the door where they would cry themselves to sleep most nights. This, I wasn't looking forward to. But I did it anyway, excited that there would be just a little extra space in the girls tiny room.

As you can see she was so happy about this new arrangement.

But, I wasn't too surprised to find her sleeping on the floor for her first nap with a new bed.

I was however very surprised that she hasn't slept on the floor since. In fact the first few days when it was quiet in the house and any normal person thinks "oh man! what is my kid into now!?" I would find her curled up with her blankie in her bed. My heart just melted everytime. I mean this is every mothers dream! It's been about 3 weeks and I wish I could say it still happens, but I do live in reality most of the time. She does however still sleep in her bed without complaint, which is new for me! :)
