Belt Ceremony

Each school year Jeremy puts on two Belt Ceremonies where the students demonstrate the skills they have learned and are awarded their next belt rank. Last night was the first one of this school year. We are always so relieved when this is over. It's usually a stressfull time for Jeremy, so when it is over and has gone well, which it always does, we celebrate! :)

One by one, each student comes up to receive their new belt. Lots of bowing and shaking of hands. :) It's fun to see the kids faces.

This is a little less than half of the students. The others are on the two other walls. I can't remember how many he has exactly but I think it's around 170. To me, this is amazing. I can't imagine teaching so many kids. I am always so impressed at the dicipline and respect these kids show at each Belt Ceremony because of their instructor. Jeremy you did a wonderful job once again! The fight scenes were great!

The kids love watching the students do karate. There is usually a pretty cool fight scene or two in the program.

Aaron was so good. He doesn't look so excited in this picture but they were handing out belts at this time so it's a bit less exciting for little ones at that point. He never got out of his chair though! YAY!

After the program Kyra and Gabe of course had to show their stuff as well.

Adelia was so funny, she would walk up to a crowd, keep her distance and glare at them all. In the picture above you can't see the crowd she's glaring at. They all of course notice her and laugh which upsets her more.

Does she have that look down or what!? Her pout was pronounced by a swollen upper lip caused by a fall earlier in the day. Tile floor just isn't kid friendly, esspecially to this kid!
