King Tut's sarcophagus was four layers deep. Coffin inside of coffin inside of coffin inside of coffin! That alone is an obvious "keep out" sign to me. Not to mention the warnings of curses and such. They went to the care of puting their liver and such inside seperate containers immaculately decorated just to have the insides dumped out and the container on display along with the other items buried with them. The one piece that really got to me was this miniature sarcophagus taken apart to reveal each piece. Next to it was a picture of the baby mummy inside the little coffin. It was truly heart breaking. And this is the clincher, under the picture was written about how the missing death mask was an act of vandalous robbery. That just seemed a bit hypocritical to me. Not only are these things put on public display, they are constanly traveling around the world to be put on display. Educational or immoral? Both. The exhibit was beautiful. It just amazes me the things people will do for money and label it "for educational purposes".

AMEN!
Seriously, if someone digs me up I want to have my coffin booby-trapped so it punches them in the face.
Put that on display.
I totally agree with you, but at the same time, I've always been fascinated with mummy-stuff.
eew! We mummified chickens in 6th grade. Don't worry, they were from the store so we didnt kill them or pluck them. But it was really gross and time consuming. And super salty. Bleh!
